Our Mission

Proudly serving our community by providing over 50 years of highway maintenance, our mission is to always provide quality highway & bridge maintenance services and road construction for the Province of British Columbia.

For all of us at Capilano Highway Services Company, quality is the result of meeting and exceeding the requirements and expectations of our stakeholders. We recognize that our innovation and continual improvement will bring us closer to our goal of superior performance and quality service.

Our History

Prior to the formation of Capilano we operated as Edco Construction Company. Since 1975 we have been involved in the construction of municipal roads, highways, railway grades, industrial sites, and residential subdivisions. In 1988 Capilano began to specialize in road and bridge maintenance and so began our long history of service to the community from the Sunshine Coast to Howe Sound.

 

We have performed routine, preventative and annual maintenance services on over 500km of busy highways and 184 structures including the Iron Workers Memorial Second Narrows Bridge, the Cassiar Tunnel and the Lions Gate Bridge. In addition to the above, Capilano has expertise in residential and commercial land development, underground utilities, paving, asphalt print, traffic control, and snow removal for residential and commercial sites.

 

To this day, with our partner companies Curtis Paving and Miller Capilano, we operate and maintain a great area of the Sea to Sky Highway from Horseshoe Bay to Duffey Lake in Pemberton. We provide highway services for the Sunshine Coast with the same standard of excellence we have been providing from the beginning.
